Interview with Catfish McDaris

Q: When did you start writing?

A: Besides letters in the army home from Germany. About 1984.

Q: Who are your biggest inspirations/your favourite writers?

A: Me, Bukowski, Dickens, Zola, Steinbeck, London, I eat books.

Q: What time of day do you do most of your writing?

A: Anytime, but I type late at night while my lady is sleeping.

Q:  Why do you write?

A:   It’s like breathing.

Q: Do you have any favourite quotes from writers?

A: They change all the time.

Q: What is one piece of advice you would give new/aspiring writers?

A: Keep writing and submitting. With the web there are tons of markets and never pay to submit.

Q: Do you have any collections, chapbooks, or other books available for people to purchase?

A: This is a tricky question I copied about 8 books of mine from Amazon Books and when I pasted them, it wiped out my interview. Sometimes computers can be real motherfuckers. That’s my favorite quote of the day!
