A book to celebrate!
By Leslie DeLuca on May 1, 2018
“Destigmatized” is a book to celebrate; it’s as if you’ve met a friend that fully, completely sees you with clarity, a book that you can share freely with all who struggle with mental health issues to let them know they are not alone as we read the reflections of those writers that have offered their insight via beautifully written reflections on each their own unique personal journey through the darkness. The voices that filter through our consciousness as we take in their stories range from young to mature adults and for those who fortunately do not suffer with this debilitating illness, perhaps hopefully they can come to a clearer understanding that there is no need for stigmatization and that there but for the grace of their Higher Power, goes them, and with that comprehension gained, the blessing of being empowered with empathy and for those who struggle, the comforting recognition of kinship in numbers greater than they ever imagined.
